Explore the WDS API

Boolean Query: This enables you to combine the terms through logical operators. API supports AND, OR and NOT operations.

  • AND: This operator matches documents where both terms exist. In order to search for documents that contain both "rapid" and "growth", use the query : rapid AND growth
  • OR:This operator matches documents where at least one of the term exists in a document. In order to search for documents containing either "rapid" or "growth", use the query: rapid OR growth
  • NOT: This operator will exclude documents which contain the word after NOT. In order to search for documents that contain "rapid" but not "growth", use the query: rapid NOT growth
  • Note: Boolean operators must be in upper case.

All Words:This enables you to search for all words in a document. For example, searching for "world development" will return all documents which contain "world" and "development"

Any words:This enables you to search for any words in a document. For example, searching for "world development" will return all documents which contain "world" or "development"

Exact phrase:This enables you to search for exact form of a phrase in a document. For example, searching for "world development" will return all documents which contain "world development" in the same form, without any other words in between.
